Question

What is PRINCE2?

PRINCE2 is an acronym of PRojects IN Controlled Environments version 2. It is a process-based method that provides the essentials for helping private, public, and not-for-profit organisations successfully deliver new products, services, and bring about the associated transformational changes. Structured, yet highly adaptable, PRINCE2 can be tailored to meet the needs of any project in any industry.

PRINCE2 is a de-facto standard project management method in Australia and New Zealand, and is also widely used internationally. Whether you are sponsoring, governing, managing, working in or supporting projects, our PRINCE2 training courses are designed to improve your chances of individual and organisational success. The Queensland University of Technology undertook some revealing research into how PRINCE2 contributes to organisational success, as compared to other project management methods; this is what they found out (1.4 Mb).

Introducing PRINCE2 7th edition

Our PRINCE2 courses are based on the guidance provided by PRINCE2 7th edition which was launched in 2023. The updates incorporated in the 7th edition reflect the evolving needs of the project management profession, providing learners with a focused curriculum that develops core project management skills. Supported by a streamlined reference manual and refreshed syllabus topics, this latest version emphasises the scalability and flexibility of PRINCE2, and ensures that project professionals are prepared to successfully navigate the complexities of current projects.

PRINCE2 7th edition brings valuable insights and practical strategies to elevate your skills and deepen your understanding of project management.

Why we are the best value

Our PRINCE2 courses cover the breadth and depth of project management. They are presented in a clear, predictable manner with key concepts reinforced and broken down into manageable sections, making them enjoyable courses.

We recognise that studying and sitting exams can be a stressful time on top of the day-to-day commitments of our lives. Therefore the structure and flow of the course provides predictability and confidence that the learner will be able to plan and manage their own learning experience and to grasp key concepts quickly. This results in being confident in your ability to pass the certification exams and to be able to apply what has been learnt to work practice.

And we are able to offer one-on-one tutor support to those taking our Self Study and eLearning courses, so you won't feel isolated, and can clear up any aspects of the course content or issues in using PRINCE2 in your organisation that may be causing concern.

Our courses are developed by Geoff Rankins, our Lead Trainer and Instructional Designer. He has worked in project management for more than 40 years, and has been a Practitioner of PRINCE2 since 2003 when he coordinated its introduction into the largest Government Department in Victoria, and has been using PRINCE2 across many sectors ever since. He contributed to the 2009 refresh of PRINCE2. His systematic approach to courseware and eLearning development is recognised by many Accredited Training Organisations and fellow trainers globally. Our Self Study and eLearning courses are based on our classroom courses; the eLearning format allows us to add content to most sessions that increases the value and clarity of what is being covered.
